Summer Camps at Piping Rock are in full swing. From painting ponies to advanced jumping lessons, our campers our having a blast! Although many of our weeks our filling up, we do offer last minute sign ups and on slow weeks we might be able to offer a deal. Year after year, our staff and horses return insuring that your child can always find a big welcome at our barn.
Please note that All Day Summer Camp has a new entrance. Please drive by the normal entrance to the new entrance and parking lot located on Union Mills Rd behind the jump arena.
We are so excited to be able to offer trail rides again. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 8 people. Rides will be staggered so that there will be only one ride leaving from one location at a time. All staff and guest will be required to wear masks and gloves when on the ground. All staff and guests will be required to observe social distancing as much as safely possible. The tack and helmets will be disinfected before and after each ride. The office will only be available to one person at a time. Please use the restroom trailer for washing hands and going to the bathroom. Reservations are strongly encouraged to be made online.
This fall we are excited to offer Trail Riding 101 - a new horsemanship clinic focusing on the fundamentals of trail riding to help you get the most out of your next ride. In this fun two hour session at the ranch and on the trail, we will cover tack, ground work, emergency breaking, seat control, and basic horse sense. Come out and improve your horsemanship while enjoying a beautiful trail ride with us this fall!
Tahoe Horse Kids is our introductory program that provides an opportunity for kids to ride after school and in the winter, spring and fall for 9 sessions each. THK focuses on safety and building solid horseback riding fundamentals. After a few sessions of THK, many kids are ready to move up to the Sierra Riding Academy.
